WHO ARE CURE KIDS?

Cure Kids are New Zealand’s leading child health research charity.

Since forming more than 45 years ago, Cure Kids have funded nearly $40 million in child health research, which has enabled vast improvements in child health – extending, improving and saving the lives of thousands of kids, both in New Zealand and around the world.

Cure Kids have funded, or are currently funding, research investigating better treatments and cures for inherited heart conditions, cystic fibrosis, childhood cancers, sudden unexpected death in infancy (SUDI), stillbirth, burns, and child and adolescent mental health, among many others.

New Zealand Pearl is incredibly proud to be a Support Partner of Cure Kids, and is proud to have helped them raise over $16,000 to date for child health research through the donation of pearl jewellery for a range of Cure Kids events.

A few of these events include:

Cure Kids Red Nose Day Gala Dinner

Red Nose Day is Cure Kids biggest annual appeal which aims to raise $1 million for child health research and on Red Nose Day they hold their Red Nose Day Gala Dinner. In 2016 we contributed a beautiful pearl pendant and with our support, Cure Kids raised over $123,000 from the gala dinner.

Colliers Long Lunch

Colliers, another partner of Cure Kids, invite their private clients to their annual Long Lunch in Queenstown and in 2017, New Zealand Pearl donated a necklace to the Long Lunch to help Colliers raise vital funds for Cure Kids.

Lunch at Soul

As part of Cure Kids Cycle Cambodia event, a group of eight women held a ladies lunch at Soul at the Viaduct and with the support of New Zealand Pearl they raised over $27,000 for Cure Kids.

New Zealand Pearl will continue supporting Cure Kids and help more children in the future.
